An early 19th Century French prisoner-of-war rigged model of a three deck First Rate mounted in a Leicestershire straw work display case. Measurements overall -- 9½ x 10¾in. (24.1 x 27.3cm.)
With masts, spars with stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, carved warrior figurehead, hair rails, capstan, companionway, balustrading, upper deck guns and carved stern detailing, mounted on parquetry decorated straw work base, the case with drop front, mirrored back, bone finials and brass carrying handle (one finial and pane of glass detached)
