EARLY DYNASTY XXVI, CIRCA 610-570 B.C.
With detailed pair of hoes and seed bag over left shoulder, with seven bands of hieroglyphic inscription, 7 in. (17.8 cm.) high; eight other turquoise and green glazed composition shabtis, six inscribed, one reading "Sma-tawy-taef-nakht, born of Tiy", another for "Hor born of Mer-neith-it.s", some with restoration, all Late Period/Ptolemaic, 6th-2nd Century B.C., 6 1/8 in. (15.3 cm.) high max.; and a blue frit head of Osiris, Late Period, circa 6th-3rd Century B.C., 1¾ in. (4.5 cm.) high (10)

Acquired on the London art market in the late 1970s/early 1980s.
Item one: sold Christie's London, 23 February 1981, lot 76.
One shabti with label underneath its wood naos-shaped rectangular mount reads: "Blanchard's Egyptian Museum, Cairo, Egypt ... Provenance: Memphis"; also pencilled on back of shabti.
