Of rectangular outline, the mirrored cover of the ribbed silver case overlaid with a scene depicting birds and butterflies in flight amidst blossoming foliage with cabochon ruby and sapphire detail, opening to reveal powder and cigarette compartments, lipstick holder, lighter and a comb, circa 1940, 13.0 x 8.4 x 2.0 cm., gross weight 523 grams, with French assay and maker's marks
