A comparable design for this Pendule au cahriot was made by Reiche in 1807. Reiche's original designs for this clock are in the Bibliotèque Nationale de Paris. There are many known surviving models, including one at Malmaison.
A nearly identical clock is illustrated in Pierre Kjellberg, L'Encyclopedie de la Pendule Francaise (Paris 1997), p. 417., ill. D.
