The brass inscription plaque reading 'WATER PIPE. EXCAVATED IN PICCADILLY, LONDON, IN 1898, AND ORIGINALLY LAID DOWN AS A MAIN WATER PIPE IN THE REIGN OF CHARLES II BETWEEN 1660 AND 1685.'
