An English oak longcase clock, early 19th Century
The moulded rectangular hood with arched pediment, the outset columns with giltwood capitals, the panelled trunk door above a stepped plinth and raised on bracket feet, the 12in. square white dial with floral spandrels, the white centre with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds ring, indistinctly signed, black-painted steel hands, with falseplate stamped WALKER to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, replaced trunk door, shortened plinth -- 78½in. (199cm.) high
