Solid cast, the muscular hero depicted nude, standing with his weight on his right leg, his head turned slightly to his left, the pelt of the Nemean lion tied around his neck, falling down his back and over his outstretched left arm, the front paws knotted at his chest, the pelt lightly incised behind the ears and on the hind legs, his left palm opened to hold a now-missing attribute, probably the apples of the Hesperides, his right hand resting on his hip, his beardless face with finely-modeled features emerging from the gaping jaws of the lions head worn as a hood
