Wm. Hitchcock (American 1928-2006)
in 1/16":1' scale, the hull built up in wood lifts with the bottom painted a deep red and black topsides with drilled port holes, propeller and rudder. The deck is planked in basswood and detailed with jack staff, railings, ventilators, anchors, deck winches, pump, ladders, deck hatches, skylights, built up deck houses with doors and windows, bridge, a pair of funnels finished in the original Cunard livery, rigged as a three masted bark with masts, cross spars, standing and running rigging; flags and other details. Displayed on four turned brass pedestals, on a mahogany base with a brass trimmed glass cover.
