CIRCA 1500, VALENCIA, PROBABLY MANISES, INSCRIBED TO THE UNDERSIDE
Decorated in gold lustre with a coat-of-arms of a lion rampant in a shield-shaped cartouche, within bands of dot-and-stalk, net-pattern, thistle and wheel-pattern, the moulded broad rim with further patterned gadroons, the underside painted with a rosette and inscribed to the edge and with a further inscription just above the footrim on bands of ferns, the border pierced with two holes, minor restoration and faint crack to rim
