Lot Essay

Each deeply carved to the lower panel with two dragons among ruyi clouds contesting a flaming pearl, the reverse with bats suspending a double-ruyi head ornament within an archaistic taotie frame. The feet of each panel are mounted with incised dragon gilt bronze supports.
