Decorated in iron-red and black enamels and gilt on underglaze blue with a flowervase on a balustraded terrace, the rim with scrolling chrysanthemums and three lobed panels depicting bijin painting calligraphy, watched by a small boy, the reverse with branches of plum blossom in iron-red enamels and gilt on underglaze blue
