Accompanied by a Hozon certificate issued by the Nihon Bijitsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword) number 433345
For the artist see Robert E. Haynes, The Index of Japanese Sword Fittings and Associated Artists (Ellwangen, 2001), 3 volumes, p.1201, no.06050, Haynes suggests that Soshu may be the same artist as Soten rather than a pupil, certainly this Mino Goto style tsuba is the equal to Soten's in quality
