The top with carved gadrooned border, the frieze with a lion mask on a pounced ground, the sides with conforming decoration, on cabiole legs with claw feet, inscribed '1720' in white paint on the underside

With Moss Harris in the 1930s. Acquired from the above by Mrs. Alan Morley Wakefield Saunders (née Lothrop), Eastry House, Kent and Hyde Park Gardens, London and thence by descent.
