2nd half 19th Century, the folding stand later
The octagonal scrolling-foliage inlaid top centred by a circle with radiating panels divided by lion masks, the reverse with a parquetry square and foliate panels, on a later ebonised folding stand with spirally-turned legs, stretchers and toupie feet
28¼ in. (72 cm.) high; 36¾ in. (93.5 cm.) diam.

Lot Essay

The dense floral marquetry of this table-top relates it to the work of the Florentine cabinet-makers Angiolo and Luigi Falcini, who were active in the second quarter of the 19th century (see also note to lot 103).
