AN ITALO-CORINTHIAN POTTERY ALABASTRON, the body tapering to pointed base decorated in three registers with friezes of animals, a lion and a grazing wild goat in upper register, a bull and wild boar below, and three swans in the lower register, rosettes in the field, rays around the shoulder, concentric circles and dots around everted rim, strap handle -- 4¾ in. (12 cm.) long; and an Italo-Corinthian kylix, decorated with a band of two swans on each side between the handles, brown glazed lower body and interior, purple band around the everted lip, repaired lower body -- 7½ in. (19 cm.) across handles, both circa 6th Century B.C. (2)
