OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1620
Of baluster form with flared trumpet mouth and simple loop handle rising from short slightly spread foot, decorated under the glaze in cobalt-blue, bole-red, green and black with five white ogival cusped cartouches containing ovoid panels of green fish-scale reserved against the blue ground, small heart-shaped white and red cartouches in the interstices, a band of black and white stylised marbling along the base, double white band with green fringe at waist, similar white cartouches with green fish-scale on neck and simple scroll border below the mouth, mouth slightly restored
