Of typical form, the pencase plain except for the gilt floral engraved terminals, one comprising the hinged cover with attachment loop, the inkwell similar with floral engraved bands top and bottom, with oval hinged cover, the pencase stamped with maker's mark of Qadri and tughra of Mahmud II, inkwell also with tughra on underside, gilding rubbed, negligible dents
