18TH CENTURY
The richly ornamented, hollow-cast figure is shown seated with legs pendent and hands held in dharmacakra mudra as they hold the scrolling stems of lotus flowers that flank the elbows. The face has delicate features, and the hair is pulled up into a tall topknot that rises above the separate five-point crown that is hung with scrolling ribbons.
14½ in. (37 cm.) high, wood horseshoe-back chair-form stand
