Of well-potted tapering ovoid form, with short, wide cylindrical neck and galleried rim, covered overall with a thin glaze of pale blue tone

Lot Essay

It is rare to find a Qingbai meiping with such a broad, galleried rim. Compare the Qingbai jar of virtually identical form and size illustrated in Song Ceramics from the Kwan Collection, Hong Kong, 1994, p. 231, no. 97.
