2 parts in one, 2o (311 x 211 mm). Roman type. Woodcut dolphin and anchor device (Cataldi Palau, Delfino 16) on titles and verso of last leaves, woodcut diagrams and initals in text. (Ownership inscription erased with old repair to blank portions of title page affecting small spot of printer's device, marginal repair to L4 and M3, *3-A2 reinforced along gutter margins.) Contemporary limp vellum (spine worn and repaired); cloth folding case. Provenance: Antonius Favitinius (early ink ownership inscription on title); Giorgio Di Veroli (bookplate).

Second Latin edition, varying considerably from earlier editions such as the Basel edition of 1544 (J. Hervagius).
