Lot Essay

"If we understand post-modernity as a general cultural movement, Armando Morales is part of it, or better yet, is one of its prophets. He does not follow a trend, he is preoccupied with rescuing, abandoned or ignored worlds that have been satanized by modernity. This is not an intellectual rescue; he is a painter devoted to recovering. He recovers bodies, objects, sensuality, tactile quality, an atmosphere of mystery, an ambiance."

Jorge Alberto Manrique in L. Kassner, Morales, Americo Arte Editores, Mexico City, 1995, p. 129.
