Dr. Babette Bohn has kindly confirmed the attribution on the basis of a photograph in a letter dated 10 March 2000. She dates the drawing to 1605-12 and compares it to one in the Musée du Louvre (inv. no. 7707), Paris, related to the picture of Saint Francis in the Prado, Madrid.
