Lot Essay

Formerly attributed to Isack van Ostade, This drawing is stylistically close to Interior of an Italian Kitchen, attributed to Wyck, in the Teylers Museum, Haarlem (inv. P 88; M. Plomp, The Dutch Drawings in the Teylers Museum, II, 'Artists born between 1575 and 1630', Haarlem, 1997, no. 568) and to An interior in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam (inv. RP-T-1884-A-380(R)).

We are grateful to Peter Schatborn for having suggested the attribution to Thomas Adriaensz. Wyck.
