Lot Essay

Delivered with two spare leather straps and copies of Audemars Piguet letter dated 20 June 2006 and catalogue pages.

According to the Archives of Audemars Piguet, the present watch, a reference 5129 in platinum, was made in 1961. The highly elegant design of the model served as inspiration for the limited edition of 125 examples made to celebrate the firm's 125th anniversary in 2000.

Purchased by the present owner in 1961 and obviously hardly used, the watch is preserved in very good, original overall condition.
