[With:] a typed letter signed, 1 page, 8°, to “Haywood” [i.e. Heywood Hill] concerning its dedication – not to Randolph Churchill but to R.H. Crossman. Confusingly, the dedication “To R.H.C.” appears in Mount Zion, but is supplanted in Continual Dew and subsequent printings by one to Churchill. [And:] Village Wedding. Autograph manuscript poem, [1958]. Seven 4-line stanzas on one folio page, with signed sketch of Uffington church at the foot. Published in the New Yorker, but uncollected. [And:] correspondence addressed to Lord Bolingbroke: Autograph letter, 1939; 3 typed letters, 1956, about revised nature notes for the Shell Guide to Wiltshire), typed letter about organic farming, etc., 1969; 14 Christmas cards, twelve of them signed, with occasional messages, 1941, 1952 and later. Preserved together in half black morocco case.
