Black Ridge is the southernmost vineyard in the world. The imposing, rocky vineyard site is legendary even in New Zealand. The vineyard is planted on a steep slope that rises 450 feet. It has been established in pockets, (some with the help of dynamite) between rocky outcrops. The resulting wines are therefore full of character and flavour.
