BOOK OF HOURS, in Latin, illuminated manuscript on vellum [Rouen, c.1460].
70 x 65mm. 153 leaves with sixteen lines written in black ink in letter batarde, rubrics in red, one-line initials alternately of red and blue, two- and three-line initials of pink and blue with white penwork decoration, ten folios with three-sided borders with a baguette of gold, pink and blue and sprays of acanthus, fruit and flowers interspersed with gold dots on hairline tendrils (defective lacking leaves, cropped and smudged). Ownership notes of Dumas, 21 November 1775 and Migneret. 17th-century blind-stamped brown leather (worn and pink paint applied to impressed areas and page edges).
With 2 19th-century Ethiopic manuscripts in wooden bindings. (3)
