BORN, Max (1882-1970). Lettre tapuscrite signée, adressée à Albert Einstein, une page in-4 (284 x 220 mm) avec 6 lignes autographes de réponse de Einstein, sur papier à en-tête "Redaktion der Physikalischen Zeitschrift Dr. Erich Hückel", située et datée Göttingen 16 juin 1922. (Traces de pliures.)
ÉMOUVANTE LETTRE À PROPOS D'UN ARTICLE DE GUILLAUME, AVEC UNE RÉPONSE TRÈS INSULTANTE DE LA PART DE EINSTEIN :"GUILLAUME EST FOU".
Belle lettre du grand physicien et mathématicien (prix Nobel de physique en 1957) à Einstein concernant un article que Guillaume avait envoyé à la "Physikalische Zeitschrift". Born l'informe qu'il hésitait à publier cet article qui contenait des interprétations de la théorie de Einstein. "...Da darin auf Deinen Pariser Vortrag Bezug genommen wird, wollte ich die Arbeit nicht ohne weiteres abdrucken, sondern erst Deine Einwilligung haben." La petite note signée de Einstein ne manque pas de piquant quant à son opinion sur Guillaume. "Lieber Born. Der Guillaume ist verrückt und auch in Paris komplett abgefahren.
