Lot Essay

US$12,000-18,000

With Breguet Attestation dated 16 February 2011.

The present desk clock is one of the exceedingly rare examples of a "World Time" made by Breguet to appear at auction to date. Its appeal is furthermore enhanced by the letter of Attestation from Emmanuel Breguet, curator of the Breguet Museum, confirming the production of the present timepiece in 1960. According to our research, less than 20 "World Time" clocks such as the present example have been manufactured, underlining its rarity. The present lot has never been offered at auction before and is in excellent overall condition.
