Frank Douglas Prentice (1898-1962). Played for Leicester and Captained Leicester from 1928-30. He was unique in being a Back Row Forward who could kick, he scored 133 conversions and 43 penalty goals during his time at Leicester. He won three caps in 1928 against Ireland, France and Scotland. Played for the Barbarians in 1926-27. Led the British Lion's Team on tour to New Zealand and Australia in 1930 and was Manager for the Rugby Union team on their tour in Argentina in 1936. After the Second World War he was Secretary of the R.F.U for 15 years and was a National Selector from 1932-47.
