Lot Essay

The present lot depicts the destroyed building of the De Rudelsheim Stichting, at the Rossinilaan in Hilversum after the allied bombing in 1944 of the nearby bunker in which General Blaskowitz took shelter.

The father of the present owner commissioned this painting especially from the artist
