A rare proclamation granting John Browne a fourteen-year patent for sole manufacture of cast-iron vessels, 'Iron Pots, Kettles, Backs of Chimneys, Salt-pans, Soap-pans, Pitch-pans, Iron-Weights, and such other like Manufactures of Cast-Iron'.
