Details
Château Haut-Brion--Vintage 1952
Pessac (Graves), 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
Recorked at the Château in 1997. Bin-soiled, two damaged and two slightly damaged labels. Levels base of neck or better
Tasting Note: Definitely one of the best surviving '52s. Distinctive, slightly chocolaty, earthy bouquet which opened up well; citrus-like fruit, good flavour but very tannic, I thought it would go on and on. Last noted June 2000. ****. M.B.
