COMPOSITE ATLAS -- HOMANN HEIRS, and others. 2° (522 x 326mm), containing a total of 90 hand-coloured double-page engraved maps, the latest of which dated 1763. (First fifteen maps waterstained at upper margin, occasional soiling and browning, large folding map of the Balkans cleanly torn and with multiple repairs on verso.) Contemporary calf, green silk ties (extremities rubbed). Provenance: Von Bohr (late 19th-/early20th-century ink library stamp on front free endpaper).
The majority of maps have the imprint of Homann Heirs and include 'Dominia anglorum in America Septentrionalis' after Moll revised by Homan Heirs, 'America Septentrionalis' by d’Anville published by Homan, Genoa with an inset view, Iceland, Palestine, the East Indies (2 maps), the Philippines, Mongolia, Tartary, Korea and Japan, South Africa, the West Indies, Corsica by T.C. Lotter.
