Jin Fei (1874-1924) was the concubine of Emperor Guangxu, and sister of Concubine Zhen, both of the Tatala clan and daughters of Chang Su, Vice-minister of the Board of Rites. The two sisters entered the Palace at the same time in the 15th year of the Guangxu reign (1889), and both were promoted to the position of concubine in 1894. Compared to previous concubines in the Forbidden Palace, Concubine Jin was renowned for her artistic taste, and her painting and calligraphy skills. Concubine Jin was honoured with the title of 'Imperial Dowager Consort of the First Rank' in the Xuantong reign.
