Chinese traditional furniture reached its peak under the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) with its system tenon mortise. Every joint is made without any nails. The same technique is used for all the furniture pieces offered in the sale. 'Da Tian Di' collection The collection embodies the concept of Heaven and Earth, respectively round and square in Chinese culture. The furniture reinterprets the style of the traditional Ming furniture concept of a round exterior and a square center. Master Yong Qi (Jiangsu)

Each of classical Ming shape, Shang Xia 18K golden mark, master Yong Qi oval golden mark and dated gui si qiu zhi, SX026 and SX027 on the base; carved on the back of each chair with an adapted painting 'layered thin white silk' by the Southern Song painter Ma Lin, and a poem inscribed on the original painting.
