拍品專文

Daniel Haringh was a pupil of Arnoldus Ravesteijn in 1664 and subsequently of Caspar Netscher whose will he witnessed in 1674. His work, principally portraiture, is extremely close to Netscher's, on whose pictures he often based his own. For example, Marjorie E. Wieseman points out that Haringh's Portrait of a Man, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, derives from a painting on loan to the Museum of Art, Tel Aviv (M.E. Weiseman, Caspar Netscher and Late Seventeenth-century Dutch Painting, Ghent, 2002, p. 121).
