Domaine Ponsot, Clos de la Roche Cuvée Vieilles Vignes 1999

Both Jeroboams were tasted in September 2022 by William Ponsot to ensure pristine quality, topped up and closed with a new cork and wax seal.
Tasting note: Quite reserved, touch tarry, some beetroot, and pure fruit aromas, all nicely integrated and in harmony, with air, more perfumed. Creamy rich cherry fruits, fine texture, and concentration, on the finish a beautiful explosion of rich cherry fruits and strawberries. Mouth filling yet so well defined. A beautiful 1999! The concentration and extracts are more clear. Typical for the vintage. Tasted during the jubilee tasting at the Domaine in June 2022. Edwin Vos
