A FINE COPY. The work includes an 8pp. poem An Elegiac Epistle Addressed to a Friend, On my leaving Boston in 1775, for the Cure of my Wounds, sustained at Bunker's Hill. The note at the rear identifies the friend as John Graves Simcoe (1752-1806), the first governor of Upper Canada, and records the appearance of a pirated edition of part of the present work. The presentation inscription reads "I wish my Dr. Sister to keep this Book in remembrance of me I beg that She will not permit any one to Peruse it out of her own House. E Drewe" Cf.
