Collation: a-e8 f6 g-h8 i-z6 A-E6 F-G8 (a1r blank, a1v editor's address to Franciscus Sampson, a2r text, G5r colophon, dedicatory letter by Johannes Aloisius Tuscanus, to Cardinal Petrus Ferriz, G5v table, G7r quire register, G7v-8 blank). 198 leaves. 60 lines, double column. Type: 9:130G, 4:76G. Woodcut diagram on G1v, woodcut white-vine initials in two sizes, backgrounds coloured ochre by an early hand, other spaces filled with red initial. (First leaf slightly short at fore-edge, a few small wormholes, stain at fore-margins, final blank verso soiled.) 19th-century vellum, spine lettered in black ink. Provenance: Brother Antonius Myncius a Lorisius (16th-century inscription, annotations in his hand and one other, trimmed); 'Castelacius' coenobite convent (16/17th-century inscription); [sale Sotheby's, 27 February 1946, lot 554, £26 to Foyle].
