Farnley Hall, West Riding, Yorkshire, was the architect John Carr's Elizabethan masterpiece, begun in 1786, although some areas of the house date back to the 16th century. The interior of Farnley Hall was created mainly by Walter Fawkes and the oak-panelled hall is one of the central rooms in the older part of Farnley. The Hall was painted from a slightly different angle by J.M.W Turner in his series of famous interiors of Farnley Hall.
