題識：晨粧。虎是曠遠洪荒時代倖存至今造化的傑作。造物既賦予老虎無窮無極的力量，因而牠以王者風容君臨山野。牠獨孤而自信，空所依傍，獨往獨來。然而他又不濫用權威，無緣欺凌弱小。在虎的兇猛暴虐而外，亦有博大仁厚。癸酉（1993年）冬，伏虎草堂主人大中。
