Lot Essay

The subject is taken from I Samuel XVIII:6-7, where is related how David returned from his battle carrying Goliath's head on the point of a sword. The Israelite women came out singing, dancing and music-making, praising him "Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands".
