A painting depicting a similar subject, described as an 'Armenian wedding' by Jean Baptiste Vanmour, is in the Rijksmuseum (inv. no. SK-A-2001). The procession is led by a band of musicians followed by the bridegroom, accompanied by a candle-bearer, and finally the bride (dressed in red) who is accompanied by a large group of women.
