The Rest on the Flight into Egypt

Princess Marianne of the Netherlands (1810-1883) was the daughter of Willem I, King of the Netherlands. She married Friedrich Heinrich Albrecht of Prussia in 1830, divorcing him in 1849, living afterwards with her servant Joahnnes van Rossum, by whom she had a son. She lived in Schloss Reinhartshausen, on the banks of the Rhine, from 1855 until her death in 1883, where some of her art collection remains to this day.
