Lot Essay

After a drawing by the elder van de Velde in the Amsterdam Historical Museum (see B. Broos and M. Schapelhouman, Nederlandse tekenaars geboren tussen 1600 en 1660. Oude tekeningen in het bezit van het Amsterdam Historisch Museum, waaronder de collectie Fodor, Amsterdam/Zwolle, 1993, no. 151).
