Lot Essay

With Girard-Perregaux Certificate of Authenticity dated 21 September 1992, international guarantee, product literature, fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

Born in 1791, the watch manufacture Girard-Perregaux holds one of the richest heritages in the watch industry. At the origin of many horological innovations, the firm has been widely acclaimed for creating the emblematic tourbillon with three gold bridges.

To celebrate the firm's bicentenary, watchmakers of Girard-Perregaux decided to adapt the movement to wristwatches by skillfully re-designing and miniaturizing it. On timepieces such as the present example, each golden bridge holds a specific task and further enhances the timekeeping performance and the aesthetics of the wristwatch.

Symbolizing supreme harmony between art and technique through a circular case crafted out of 18 karat pink gold, the present model, being a testament of the achievements of the firm's past, is still firmly grounded in the present and can already be considered as a Girard-Perregaux classic.
