Part of the Swatch group since 2000, Glashütte is known for its contemporary design and precision. Established in 1845, Glashütte is one of the well-known Saxony watchmakers. One of the particular features that has become synonymous with Glashütte design is the perlage surface decoration on their three-quarter plates. Testimony to their commitment to the craft is the renowned Alfred Helwig School of Watchmaking which educates 12 watchmakers and 3 tool makers annually.
