CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, XVIIIEME-XIXEME SIECLE
The group is finely carved with an idyllic scene depicting Shoulao, holding a peach in his left hand and a stick in his right hand. A deer is standing on a rocky outcrop all beneath a large gnarled pine tree. The reverse is pierced with a crane standing below a prunus tree, with five bats in flight on top of the mountain. The stone is of an attractive pale tone with minute russet and milky inclusions.
8 in. (20.3 cm.) high
