JOHN HANCOCK'S COPY, signed in ink at the top of title-page: "JnHancock 1757," with flourish beneath the name. A small chip to the leaf, affecting "n" in "Jn." A youthful form of signature (Hancock was 20 years old in 1757, having graduated from Harvard at age 16 in 1753), exhibiting a different flourish than that employed by Hancock at a later date.
